Samantha Reitmayer Sano: owner and creative director

Samantha Sano is a graduate of Texas Christian University and began her career in 1998 at 2cdesign in Dallas as an intern and was promoted upon graduation to lead designer. In 2002, she joined Rovillo Design Associates. In 2004, Rovillo Design Associates was changed to Rovillo + Reitmayer and Samantha was made principal. Over the nine years with R+R, Reitmayer acted as creative director and worked with clients ranging from Cowboys Stadium and the AT&T Performing Arts Center to George W. Bush Library, One Arts Plaza, Baylor Health Care Foundation, North Texas Super Bowl and a long standing relationship with Neiman Marcus. In October of 2009 Sano founded SWOON, the studio and assumed the role of owner and creative director. Samantha is a past president of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications and served on the board of the DSVC for eight years. Samantha is also a past board member of the national graphic design organization, the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). Her work has been recognized by a number of major national and regional creative organizations.

Since 2002, she has greatly enjoyed teaching as an adjunct graphic design professor at local universities including Texas A&M University, Commerce, Texas Christian University and Collin College and continues to teach at Commerce. Samantha is also the creator of the lifestyle blog, style/SWOON and has over 14,000 visitors a month. In November, she began writing for a local fashion publication, F!D Luxe, a Dallas Morning News publication. As a part of the new ventures with synergy of the blog and the studio Sano is branching out into interiors as well via the new design firm, SWOON, the studio.

Kevin Thomas: associate creative director

Kevin Thomas graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design in 2004. After graduation he went to work as art director at the Dallas location of graphic design firm, Eisenberg and Associates. He worked on numerous branding development projects for PFS Web, Stampede Brewing Company, Cimex Medical Innovations, and Convacare. Two years later, he accepted a position with Rovillo + Reitmayer as art director and designer. While working at R+R he helped grow established brands such as Neiman Marcus, Dallas Cowboys, Bailey Banks and Biddle, and Texas Historical Commission. In October of 2009, he joined SWOON, the studio as associate creative director.
