Starting with the massive rock, culled from the property, that greets visitors as they approach the central breezeway, the modern dogtrot house is a study in embracing the surrounding landscape. Unfinished oak and hand-troweled plaster walls, unlacquered brass plumbing and hardware, raw-edge stone bathroom sinks, and honed black granite kitchen countertops celebrate the beauty of natural materials as they patina over time.
